MOVIE REVIEW: Transformers Dark of the Moon

Transformers Dark of the Moon

Today the 3rd movie in the Transformers series Transformers Dark of the Moon was released in cinemas. Of course being a huge Transformers fan I had to see it the day it came out. I saw the standard 2D version in the luxury of Gold Class cinemas.

This is by far the best movie of the series. It has the witty Transformer style comedy between the main characters as the first 2 movies and those funny one liners that we have all come to love. The Autobots are back, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Ratchet, Sideswipe and newest Autobot Mirage which is an awesome red Ferrari. There also a brand new prime called Sentinal Prime and his character is key in the storyline of this Transformers film. Also former Decepticon now Autobot, "Wheelie" from Transformers 2 returns along with his cute little Autobot friend "Brains" seem to be Sam's "alien pets" along with Mikela's dog Bones. So of course the Decepticons that we love to hate are back for the 3rd movie, Megatron (yes he is still alive!), Shockwave, Starscream and Soundwave.

Returning characters to Transformers 3 are Shia LeBeouf (Sam), Josh Duhamel (Lennox), Tyrese Gibson (Epps), Kevin Dunn and Julie White (Ron and Judy), John Turturro (Agent Simmons). Brand new cast members include Sam's new love interest and Megan Fox's replacement Carly played by Rosie Huntington. She is joined by Patrick Dempsey, John Malkovich, Frances McDormand and Alan Tudyk (who plays Agent Simmons assistant - he is really funny). I love Rosie Huntington as Carly, she is a sexy Victorias Secret model and makes her debut in this movie. She is beautiful, sexy, glamorous and really does a great job playing Sam's new love interest. Boys will appreciate may of her tight sexy outfits and her on screen chemistry with Shia LeBeouf is sexy and fresh. Shia's performance is excellent and his character has matured alot since the first movie.

Sometimes the story line is a little hard to follow but it all comes together at the end of the movie during the intense action scenes. I really loved the action between the Autobots and Decepticons, the special effects are really amazing, the robots really look real. Michael Bay did an amazing job directing this 3rd instalment.

Due to the intense action scenes and adult themes I would not recommend this film for kids.

I really enjoyed Transformers Dark of the Moon, it's the best film in this series, I give it 5 out of 5 stars. Even though my favourite Megan Fox didn't return and Tyrese Gibson doesn't appear in the movie until the 2nd half of the film, the movie exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to see it again in 3D!

REVIEW: Mountain Girl Soap

Mountain Girl Soap

I recently stumbled across this really nice website, Mountain Girl Soap. I was browsing the web for Vegan and Cruelty Free makeup companies and this website caught my attention. I loved the name Mountain Girl Soap and wanted to know more. I absolutely adore Handmade Soap and when I discovered the Coconut Lemongrass I knew I had to buy a bar. I also found they had Vegan Lip Balm and I'm totally obsessed with Vanilla so I also added this to my online shopping cart. Checkout was simple and easy because they accept Pay Pal. The customer service was also great after purchasing my products, I received a lovely personal email from the company's owner Naomi. I received my soap and lip balm in the mail a few days later.

The Coconut Lemongrass Soap smells delicious and fresh and contains Coconut, Lime, Pineapple and Lemongrass. It's certified vegan and available in 4.5 oz bars for $US 5.00 each. The all-natural Vanilla Lip Balm is also Vegan and contains avocado butter, olive oil, candelilla wax, vitamin E and real vanilla infused coconut oil.

This is the product responsible for my "crazy curls", I can't live without this curl taming gel to kill the frizz and create my perfect shirley temple ringlets.

Since discovering the power of minerals 10 years ago I was forever in search for the perfect mineral foundation. I found it just a few years ago when Mary Kay launched it's best selling Mineral Powder Foundation. I use this everyday to set my makeup and it's perfect for all skin tones and all ages.

By far the best makeup remover ever... This is a beauty must have and I use it every single day to remove my makeup. It's an item I would take with me to a deserted island.

5). Benefit Dallas Blush
I love this Blush so much! It's a matte berry bronze colour and suits most skin tones and can also double as a bronzer. The box is not only gorgeous but protects your blush from getting damaged when travelling and the cute brush is perfect for precise application.

I recently discovered this amazing mascara and now I understand why everyone on youtube raves about this product. It gives me long, sexy voluminous lashes and the brush makes application a breeze.

7). Mary Kay Liquid Eyeliner / Maybelline Line Stiletto Liquid Eyeliner
I always wear black liquid eyeliner every single day, whether is day or night makeup, I always want to define my eyes. The 2 best black eyeliners that I adore are my "old faithful" Mary Kay Black Liquid eyeliner which I've been using for years now. And I recently discovered Maybelline's Line Stiletto which is I can see where it gets its name from, this eyeliner will take your eyes from drab to fab in one easy application. Love it.

My handbag is always full of my favourite pink lip glosses and my two favourites are the NYX Megashine and Rimmel's Vinyl Gloss. Both formulas are super glossy without that sticky feeling and great value for money.

VEGAN BEAUTY: Furless Brush Set Review

FURLESS Purple Power Brush Set

It's my new Makeup Mission to find Vegan and Cruelty Free makeup brands. I recently became a Vegetarian a few months ago and I care about animals. I think it's really important to support brands that are Vegan and also support companies that don't test their products on animals. I call this a "Makeup Mission" because it's not as easy as it sounds to find these brands as many companies don't actively promote the fact that they are cruelty free. However I recently stumbled across an Australian Beauty Company called "Furless". Their brand features makeup and brushes that are Vegan and 100% Cruelty Free. I purchased a cute purple brush set and was very impressed with the quality, value for money and the company's principles.

The cute zebra packaging added a personal friendly touch and I also received a complimentary Vegan Eyeshadow sample.
The brushes are made of synthetic hair, hence the name Furless, which are cruelty free as no animal hairs are used. The quality is great and the brushes are soft and I love the purple and black colouring. I just adore the matching pink and purple brush case.
