This is my daily skincare routine... On my Earth Angel mission I am adding natural/organic and cruelty-free skincare into my daily routine. The key to younger looking skin - you ask? Consistency. Washing your face every morning and every evening with a good makeup remover, cleanser, moisturiser and eye cream.

One thing I truly love from my childhood was watching cartoons from the 80's like My Little Pony, Care Bears, Duck Tales, Gummi Bears etc... Being a kid was the best years of my life. I just I am now at the age of 30, still just a big kid at heart.... This is my My Little Pony Princess Sparkles T-Shirt from Jay Jays. Also my sweet little pony pals, Rainbow Dash, Cheerilee.

So there's no denying that Barbie is just the most perfect dolly on the planet. I just adore her. This is a close up of one of the Barbie dolls that I own. I got her last year with Ken for Barbie's birthday. I was always a tom boy as a kid and played with cars and basketball cards rather than dolls. So my fascination with Barbie only developed when I discovered makeup about 12 years ago... even since she has been an icon and I will always adore her.

My new handbag for summer 2011/2012 is this silver tote bag that I got with my Lollipop Splash fragrances. It's really pretty and matches most of my outfits and it's hot pink inside!

This is my favourite book this month... I bought it last year... I couldn't wait for 2012 to begin so I could start my new journey of self discovery. I am so passionate about horoscopes and astrology. When I meet people I am always so fascinated to discover what star sign they are. I am a true Aquarius. I love discovering all the personality traits about Aquarius, it's so magical and enables me to express my spirituality.

Film Friday january 13th

Walt Disney Picture's classic 1991 Beauty and the Beast returns to US theatres today (January 13th) in stunning 3D. Following in the success of last year's digital release of The Lion King 3D, Disney hopes to delight and enchant fans all over again with the magical of the tale as old as time. The original movie was released on November 13th, 1991 so the re-release for a limited time only coincides with the original, also being released on the 13th.

Belle is one of my favourite Disney Princesses, so I can't wait to relive the magic of Beauty and The Beast in the luxury of a modern day cinema. Beauty and The Beast 3D will be available in Australian cinemas on March 22nd!

In 2012 I Want To Inspire

Happy New Year!
You know the old saying "New Year, New You". Well I can honestly say that in 2012 I am already embracing a NEW YEAR and the NEW ME. Reflecting on 2011 - for me this was the year for change. Changes in my work life, changes in my health & diet, changes in my friends & family and most of all big changes in my confidence and outlook on life!

In 2012 my mission is to create a peaceful, eco-friendly journey of self discovery. 2012 will be the year I celebrate 10 years as a Makeup Artist and hence the beginning of the next phase of my career.

In 2012 I want to inspire.
I want to make a difference in other's lives.
I want to create new things.
I was to express my feelings.
I want to enjoy the freedom and beauty of life.
I want to embrace the simple things.
I want to be the best version of me.

I spent the first day of 2012 at the beach. I love everything about the beach. The shimmery sand between my feet. The crystal blue ocean. The sound of the waves. The pretty sea shells that wash up on the shore. The peaceful calm feeling of being alone with your thoughts and the ocean.

I captured this moment as the sunset on the horizon.... look at the reflection of the gorgeous pink & orange clouds. The ocean turns a beautiful teal blue colour - sunset at the beach is absolute bliss.

2011 Movies I still want to see: The Smurfs, Green Lantern, Monte Carlo, Super 8.

By far my favourite movie of 2011 was Fast Five... I saw this 4 times at the cinema including 3 Gold Class sessions. I also bought the DVD the day it was release and have watched it several times on DVD. I loved it! I also really enjoyed Transformers 3, In Time, Footloose and Friend with Benefits and Burlesque. Each of these movies I saw twice at the cinema. I love the whole cinema experience, so if I love a film, it's likely I will see it again at the cinema. There is usually something extra that I will see that I didn't pick up the first time around. I am just such a huge movie buff - as you can tell!

2011 was also a great year for kids movies (or big kids at heart like me) with Disney's Tangled, Cars 2, Rio, The Smurfs and The Lion King all doing well at the box office.

Romantic comedies were also really great this year - Friends with Benefits starring Justin Timberlake & Mila Kunis being my favourite along with No Strings Attached, Something Borrowed, What's Your Number, and Footloose.

When it came to action and drama I would have to say that In Time was one of my all time favourites of the year. I was fascinated by the whole concept of the movie. I really hope they make a sequel as I would love to see more of Justin & Amanda on the big screen. I also really enjoyed I am Number Four and Thor and hope that both of these movies also have a sequel.

For the year ahead... in 2012 I really look forward to seeing The Vow - a romantic comedy starring Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams. I also can't wait for G.I Joe: Retaliation starring The Rock, Channing Tatum and Bruce Willis.

The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone

Since starting my Vegetarian journey at the start of this year, I have come across many Vegan friendly resources but my favourite has been a book I purchased from Amazon. The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone. I have been a huge fan of Alicia - as an actress - since her early acting days and even had the opportunity to see her when she came to Australia many years ago promoting Batman & Robin.

The Kind Diet is described as a simple guide to feeling great, losing weight and saving the planet. I feel that since reading this book I am doing all 3. I feel great, my skin is much clearer and hydrated, even the whites of my eyes are brighter. Here is my Christmas Day Outfit of the Day... For a casual Chrissy day in Summer on the Gold Coast, I paired a pretty coral babydoll-style summer dress with jewelled silver toned wedged thongs. For my accessories I wore gold disc drop earrings and 2 butterfly rings, one silver & gold the other silver and light peach. I am never afraid to wear silver and gold together.

For my hair flat ironed it straight for a natural summer look. After lunch I wore half of my hair up in a silver hair clip that I scored as my gift in one of my Christmas BonBons!

My makeup was simply & natural with gold smokey eyes as featured in my Christmas Kisses makeup tutorial paired with subtle nude lips.

After almost 1 year as a vegetarian I am now embarking on a Kind Beauty Mission...

My mission is to transform my total beauty routine into 100% cruelty-free makeup, beauty, hair and personal care products! Choosing only products not tested on animals, cruelty free and vegan.

It's BEAUTIFUL to be Kind...

Since beginning my Eco Glamazine (an eco-friendly digital beauty magazine) 5 months ago I have discovered the truth behind the billion dollar beauty industry and the harsh reality is that some of the leading beauty companies still test their products and ingredients on animals. You may be shocked to learn that Loreal, Maybelline and Covergirl all test on animals! Yes it's true! These precious animals endure brutal cruelty and a life of torture so that these companies can make billions of dollars every year selling you makeup, skincare and beauty products! Well I say that this is unacceptable! We are now in the 21 century and there no excuse and no need to test any products on animals. These animals feel pain and emotion just like we do. If we buy these beauty products from companies knowing that they test on animals aren't we saying that this is ok? Well it's not ok. It's not okay to kill animals just so that I can shampoo my hair! I say NO to Animal Testing! I care about all animals great and small and I refuse to go another day using any products that have been tested on animals!

Creating My Dream

This week starts a brand new chapter in my career journey as a Makeup Artist... I recently quit my Monday to Friday "day job" working in a office, because after 4 years I felt that my days were turning into Ground Hog Day... Now I am focussing my energy 100% on creativity and being a Makeup Artist with a few projects on the side - like new digital magazine Eco Glamazine.

I woke up one day (a few weeks ago) and had a lightbulb moment..! Why am I spending my energy and time everyday making money for someone else? When all I get at the end of the week is added stress that I don't need in return for money in my bank account. Money doesn't equal happiness and thats the truth! Sure it can give you access to a higher quality of life and lots of pretty things... but at the end of the day if you wake up in your bedroom surrounded by all your pretty things and you're still unhappy then thats not really happiness is it?

I want to work for a company that cares more about people and our planet than money! If this company doesn't exist then I will create it myself. My Dream is to one day create a kind eco-friendly business that actually cares!

So my new journey towards creating my kind eco-friendly business may be years away but from this day forward I am waking up everyday with purpose and passion, ready to focus on my beauty mission to create My Dream. I know that my Dream don't work unless I do. "It's better to create a job than to find one." I found what I love 9 years ago and that's making people feel beautiful through the art of makeup!

My Australia Zoo Adventure

Happy Steve Irwin Day! Today is November 15th so Australia Zoo celebrates Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter. Steve Irwin is my hero! Steve was the ultimate Wildlife Warrior! The whole Irwin family has created an amazing animal sanctuary which promotes animal conservation and education and helps save animals. Australia Zoo is a truly amazing and inspiring place and yesterday I took a 2 hour journey north to the Sunshine Coast to visit Australia Zoo. I saw kangaroos, koalas, crocodiles, red pandas, elephants, tigers, otters, dingoes and lots of gorgeous birds!

My favourite part of the Zoo was the brand new Africa Safari exhibit which features Zebras, Rhinos, Giraffe and Cheetahs! Wow it was truly an amazing experience to see these creatures co-existing just like they would in the wild.

Steve Irwin's parents Bob and Lyn Irwin opened Australia Zoo in 1970, back then it was the Beerwah Reptile Park. Steve grew up at the Zoo he loved animals especially the crocodiles, one in particular Monty, was Steve's favourite and Monty is still at the zoo today! Steve Irwin and his wife Terri took over the Zoo in the early 90's expanding it with new exhibits and renaming it Australia Zoo. After Steve passed away in 2006, Terri Irwin now owns Australia Zoo and with the help of her gorgeous kids Bindi and Robert Irwin she carries on Steve's legacy and passion for animal conservation!

In 2004 an Animal Hospital opened next to Australia Zoo, which carried on Lyn Irwin's passion and Steve Irwin's dream to save and care for injured animals. This state of the art facility now cares for 8,000 animals a year and costs 2.5 million dollars to run each year. The Wildlife Warriors Wildlife Hospital at Australia Zoo is an amazing place... I visited the Wildlife Hospital and made a donation to the Wildlife Warriors. You can help Australia Zoo continue its amazing work by donating to the Wildlife Warriors.

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Wishing all my readers, subscribers and friends a Happy Halloween! To celebrate this fun holiday I'm sharing my 5 favourite Halloween movies! Yes, all the best Halloween movies were made in the 90's!

Walt Disney's HOCUS POCUS (1993)

Because I'm a big kid at heart my all time favourite Halloween movie is Hocus Pocus! This is a classic family movie that I've seen so many times now, that I've lost count. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are the Sanderson Sisters, 3 witches who are obsessed with staying young forever. Thora Birch is adorable as Dani and spends most of the movie dressed up as a witch, cute! Her big brother Max played by Omri Katz lights the black flame candle which resurrects the Sanderson sisters on Halloween night! His love interest is Allison ("oh Allison!") played by the stunning Vinessa Shaw. Hocus Pocus has fun halloween costumes, a cute black cat (that talks), romance, magic, comedy and 3 crazy fun witches. This Halloween classic is perfect for the whole family and it's always so much fun to watch!

Practical Magic (1998)

I love witches and I'm a huge Sandra Bullock fan, so of course Practical Magic is one of my favourite Halloween movies! Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are sisters and witches, Sally and Gillian Owens. Dianne West and Stockard Channing also star as their wicked Aunties. This magical film about the bond of 2 sisters has drama, comedy, magic and a love story, of course! Sandra and Nicole are magic on screen as the Owens sisters and I love that this film has lots of magic, witchcraft and lots of cool special effects! I love this movie so much, I mean come on witches plus romance whats not to love!

Death Becomes Her (1992)

One of my favourite hollywood actresses is Goldie Hawn and this is one of my favourite Goldie movies! This dark comedy is a great movie for Halloween. It has an all-star cast with a young Bruce Willis alongside screen sirens Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn. Being a Makeup Artist one of my favourite things about this movie is Goldie and Meryl's makeup and hair! It's just fabulous! The storyline is about 2 jealous friends who drink a magic potion that promises them eternal youth. So when they are both killed fighting for the love of same man played by Bruce Willis, they become "undead". It's fun watching Goldie and Meryl together on screen as rivals. Another classic 90's movie with a fun twist on the concept of eternal life.

The Craft (1996)

So by now, you may have guessed that I love witches! Well this movie The Craft is a really cool 90's teen film about 4 teenage girls who pursue witchcraft. I don't normally like very scary movies but this film mixes sci-fi with magic and has some really cool special effects. I love Robin Tunney as Sarah Bailey and Neve Campbell is really different and off beat as Bonnie. If you love movies about high school, sci-fi flicks and horror movies then chances are you will appreciate The Craft.

Casper (1995)

This cute children's movie mixes animation with live action and is based on the cartoon Casper the Friendly Ghost. Starring a very young and innocent Christina Ricci and one of my favourite actors Bill Pullman as her dad. Plus the gorgeous Devon Sawa appears at the end of the movie as the real Casper, which is very cute! This is such a cute movie and such a classic story... I mean come on, who doesn't just love Casper!

Sugarpill Eyeshadow Review

My first Sugarpill Cosmetics eyeshadows arrived this week from the USA and I was so excited to try out these amazing vegan eyeshadows that I'd heard so much about. And after a week of wearing these gorgeous shimmery colours I can say that I am now in love with Sugarpill eyeshadows! They are now my new eyeshadow obsession!

I purchased 3 shades of Sugarpill Chromalust Loose Eyeshadows in Darling (a gorgeous teal), Hysteric (an iridescent lavender) and Goldilux (a sparkly metallic gold). Zealous Swimwear Launch

Recently I had the opportunity to work with some amazing ladies on a photo shoot for a brand new Aussie Swimwear company called Zealous. I was the Makeup Artist for their Spring Collection photo shoot, which was shot on the Gold Coast. I met the brands beautiful Ambassadors Alice Mills and Katie Goldman both professional swimmers and really gorgeous very down to earth young ladies.

If you have fair skin I recommend choosing a pink blush to compliment your skin tone. For medium complexions with golden undertones, your skin will glow if you use a peach tone. For dark/tan skin tones the best blush will be a berry shade.

This week I reached 4,000 Subscribers on my YouTube Channel. I am so thrilled to have so many people from around the world who enjoy my videos. I started my YouTube channel in April 2010, after watching Makeup Geek's makeup tutorials, I thought it looked really fun and decided to create my own channel. I remember my first ever makeup tutorial I was so nervous. Since then I have uploaded over 130 videos which have over 178,000 views! My YouTube channel features lots of different videos from tag videos to makeup hauls to makeup tutorials and CD reviews! I have had so much fun making videos and I can say that my confidence has improved since my first ever tutorial.

How To: Fix a Broken Lipstick

We have all had those beauty disaster moments, when our favourite lipstick breaks... Well no more tears because here is a technique I use to fix a broken lipstick so you can continue to use it directly from the tube.

1. Detach broken lipstick bullet from tube.
2. Wipe down side of lipstick bullet to smooth over any bumps and dents.
3. Put the lipstick bullet into the fridge for 10 minutes to harden
4. With a mini spatula scoop out most of the lipstick remaining in the tube and put into a small container
5. Wipe off excess lipstick from around the tube.
6. After 10 minutes of chilling, push the lipstick bullet back into the lipstick tube.
7. Viola! Now your lipstick is ready to use again.

David Babaii Bohemian Beach Spray

I love product because its free of nasties like sulfates, parabens, petrochemicals and isnt not tested on animals. You can also recycle the packaging so it's eco-friendly and also good for you hair.
I use this spray on wet hair after I get out of the shower to create beachy, messy curls. It holds the curl, adds texture and doesn't make my hair crunchy. It does have a strong fruity smell which reminds me of summer. This finishing spray is perfect for curly or wavy hair and can be used on wet or dry hair. It's also suitable for use with hot styling tools like curling irons.

St. Ives Apricot Face Wash

I love this product for 2 reasons; firstly it's cruelty-free and secondly it has a fresh refreshing apricot smell that is a really nice change from the usual acne washes that I've tried in the past. This face wash is has microbeads and apricot extracts that deep clean pores to help stop breakouts. It contains Apricot Oil which hydrates and nourishes skin. It contains 2% salicylic acid and it's oil-free so it's perfect for combination to oily skin.

Macadamia Natural Oil

This little bottle maybe small but as they say good things come in small packaging. This healing treatment oil works wonders to nourish and de-tangle my super curly frizzy hair. I love using a few drops as a heat protectant when blow-drying my fringe/bangs. I actually prefer this Macadamia Oil instead of Argon Oil as it has a really nice pleasant smell.

This is an absolute beauty must have for gorgeously glowing skin! It's the perfect cheek lighter for fair to medium skin. I found this product at Kit Cosmetics a few weeks ago and all I can say is that I'm obsessed! I recently purchased some NYX Mega Shine Lip Glosses from Makeup Geek's online store, and was so surprised when only a few days later they arrived on my door step. The shipping was so quick (and affordable) and which prices so low on the Makeup Geek site, it's actually quicker and cheaper to order these glosses from the states that to attempt to find them here in Australia.
I love the creamy glossy texture of these lip glosses and the colours are amazing too. My favourite new colour is Salsa a shimmer baby pink which goes perfectly over my many pink lipsticks. These lip glosses are so highly pigmented that they can be worn alone or even just with a lip liner for a gorgeous lip colour. NYX doesn't test their products on animals.

Album Review: Colbie Caillat All of You

I recently purchased Colbie Caillat's 3rd studio album All of You. I originally bought the album just for the song "What If" which was featured in one of my favourite movies from 2010 Letters to Juliet. But I can honestly say I have fallen in love with the Colbie Caillat's amazing voice and new songs. This album is perfect for summer. I would describe her music style as Pop mixed with Reggae, with a dash of Country. All songs on this album were written by Colbie and focus of love and life. My favourite tracks are What If and Dream Life, Life.

These lipsticks launched last year and each shade is name after a popular dance style. My favourite colour is Jive, a perfect musky pink. The best feature about these lipsticks is the fragrance, which reminds me of my childhood, they smell just like musk lollies! The texture is soft, thick and creamy and long lasting. Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Candy Pink

I discovered these lipsticks about a year ago when I received one in a Revlon gift with purchase. I was really impressed with the smooth and creamy texture and the weightless feel of these new lipsticks. I have always been a fan of Revlon lipsticks and lip glosses and Revlon Colorburst is my new favourite lipstick obsession! My favourite shade is Soft Nude, it's the perfect skin tone nude and suits fair and medium skin tones. Revlon just released brand new colours and one of my favourites is their Candy Pink, it's a vibrant yet sheer neon pink. The packaging is very luxurious for a drug store brand. The only thing I don't like about these lipsticks is the fact that they are melt very easily. The first one I got I left in my handbag in the car for about an hour during shopping and it melted. I had a few other lipsticks in my handbag but the revlon colorburst was the only one that was affected by the heat. So I certainly don't recommend this lipstick for hot summer days!

Outfit of the Day: Javaboi meets Barbie!

For today's look, being a Sunday I had a little extra time to spend on my beauty routine, so I decided to curl my hair with a curling iron. To create these big soft loose curls, I used a Vidal Sassoon 1 inch ceramic curling iron. I love this curling iron because it has a temperature control so I can turn up the heat to maximum to get longer lasting curls.

My makeup today is classic brown smokey eyes with baby pink lips. This is a great look for weekends or work days it's natural and pretty and suits most eye colours. I used my Too Faced Romantic Eye palette for this look. I applied the shimmery metallic brown colour to the outer 2 thirds of my eye and into the crease. I then applied the matte pale pink tone into the crease and blended up towards the brow. I applied the shimmery lemon highlight colour to my brow bone and inner corner of my eyes. I used Nude Beach from the Too Faced Natural eye palette for the inner third of my eyes to brighten up this look.
I also applied black liquid eyeliner to my top lashline, black pencil to my water line and lots of black mascara.
For my lips I wanted to add some colour to this look, and to continue with my Romantic theme I lined by lips with a medium pink lipliner then applied Australis Colour Inject Lipstick in Jive. It's a perfect musky pale pink. Plus it reminds me of my childhood because when applied it smells like musk lollies!

Outfit of the Day: Black Javaboi Tee

Saturday's outfit was black and white. I wore my Javaboi Industries Black Javaboi Javashirt with black and white shimmery smokey eyes.

For my eyes I started by creating an eyeshadow base using NYX Jumbo Eye pencils in Milk (white) and Black Bean (black). I applied the white pencil to the inner third of my eye and blended with my fingers, then used the black pencil on the outer 2 thirds of my eye up to the crease. I patted on a black shimmery eyeshadow (black panther by Red Earth) over the black base and blended slightly into the crease. I then applied a skin tone colour eyeshadow (silky teddy by Too Faced) under my eyebrow and blended down to my crease. To brighten the eye I applied a bright white shimmery loose eyeshadow (fairy dust by She) over the white base on the inner corner of my eye. I applied a thick line of black liquid eyeliner, the one I love to use is Maybelline's Line Stiletto liquid eyeliner. I then gave my lashes a few coats of thick black mascara (Loreal Voluminous).

For sexy nude lips, I lined just outside my natural lip line with Model Co's Nude Illusion Lipliner. Then applied a generous coat of Revlon Colorburst lipstick in Soft Nude to my lips. To add gloss and shimmer I applied a layer of Napoleon Perdis Luminous Lip Veil in The Gold and The Beautiful.
