CURL REHAB: My Curly Hair Routine

After almost a year of straightening my hair, through daily struggles with my flat iron and blow dryer I've decided that enough is enough! As part of my 2013 Journey towards my Dream I'm embracing my natural curls by wearing my hair curly.

My hair is very dry and damaged from the constant blow drying and flat ironing, so I'm putting myself into Curl Rehab. My mission to hydrate and revive my curl pattern! My hair type is 3A Curly Twirly and my hair texture has always been naturally very thick and curly with a strong "S" pattern. However lately after the damage of 10 months of wearing my hair straight I've lost my natural curl pattern - my hair has become dry, damaged and I have alot of split ends. So I looked for products that could help me restore my goldilocks style curls I was once known for.

I recommend this website it's a great resource for curly/wavy hair:

In this video I share with you the products and techniques that I have been using for the last 2 weeks to help revive my hair back to curly!

I loved reading this particular post lauren Im a hairdresser and i have been doing it since i was 16 Im now 33 And in all those years Ive tortured my hair to be something it isnt You get to a stage where u stand back and say All the time i spend straightening my hair Drying it out beyond repair is not worth it! Not to mention the countless chemicals ive poured all over my skin and hair for this long Its frightening! You have to know in the long run all these chemicals in all these makeup and hair products are doing us damage. Im no hippy dont get me wrong but look at the cancer rates That have climbed to all highs along with the increase in what we use on our skin on a daily bases It has to be connected. Im changing my ways now and switching to more natural products I just dont think our health is worth the risk anymore xx
